MICRImage MICR readerThe MICRImage MICR reader allows replacement of older cheque readers with a single, compact device giving magnetic read of MICR codelines, optical read of OCR codelines, full height front image capture plus optional MSR, often for less than the price of the cheque reader it replaces. The MICRImage cheque MICR reader has achieved a breakthrough in price/performance which enables cost effective image capture at the front counter for the first time. The scanner combines a magnetic MICR reader with a full height front image camera making it a highly versatile device for processing cheques and other banking documents. A built-in magnetic stripe reader for bank cards is also available. With a footprint of only 4” x 9” and a single cable connection to the host, the MICRImage will fit neatly into even the smallest workspace. The MICRImage MICR reader features a U shaped track with a robust, motorised feed. In a single pass the unit reads the MICR codeline and captures the front image of a cheque. Codelines in optical fonts such as OCRB or OCRA are decoded from the image which may also be used to automatically capture data from other areas of the document. Codeline data and the image are transmitted to the host computer using one of two inbuilt interfaces. Various interface configurations are available including dual RS232 and RS232 plus Ethernet 10 Base-T. Software drivers enable the MICR reader to emulate the data stream
of older, codeline-only readers making migration very simple. For more information on the MICRImage MICR reader, contact
