ECLIPSE CHEQUE AND REMITTANCE PROCESSING WITH IMAGE ARCHIVE

Eclipse is a powerful, modular, image based remittance processing system which is easily tailored to incorporate an organisation’s individual requirements providing a bespoke solution at an off-the-shelf price.

Eclipse is a flexible, fully scaleable solution that uses a variety of optical and intelligent character recognition techniques to reduce manual data entry to a minimum. All types of paper based payments can be processed whether they are standard cheques or bank giro credits, credit card or direct debit mandates or non standard A4 style remittance advices. All items processed through the system are stored in an image archive providing a fully retrievable audit trail of data and images.

Image Archive

A full archive of data and images is included, with a simple search facility meaning query items can be retrieved in a matter of seconds. Access is available to as many people as need it, both locally and remotely.

Complete Image Workflow System

With no requirement to stop the scanner, image based data entry tasks can be done by as many operators as required enabling varying workloads to be managed effectively and efficiently.

Image Repair

If a MICR codeline fails to be read by the scanner, OCR software will attempt to repair the codeline from the image, reducing to a minimum the amount of manual codeline repair required.

Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR)

ICR can be used to read hand written and machine printed amounts from cheques offering a major reduction in manual keying. Typical read rates in a remittance processing environment exceed 75%. Optionally, ICR can also be used to read amounts from payment stubs and information from other areas on a document e.g. a customer account number or direct debit details.

Scalability

Eclipse is a very flexible solution making it easy to cope with an ever-changing processing environment. Extra processing hardware, increased ICR capability and new processing requirements can all be easily and quickly incorporated.
